Once in Tenkara fishing this Horsetail Furled line was used mostly. Nowadays a variety of modern materials and types of tenkara lines are produced, and the technique of making this old line is almost lost. Mr. Hirata continues to make Horse Tail Fuled lines to convey traditional Tenkara fishing to future generations. A supple and weighty line has good feeling of casting, also it absorbs the impact of hooking well and reduces the breaking of Tippet.
